P-520: WWII & Korean War Crashboat

Our first events since the P-520 has been repaired!

10am - Noon - Special Veteran's Cruise
Choptank River in Cambridge, MD

This is a private cruise for our WWII and Korean War Veterans and special guest given to them as a tribute for their historic service and a "Thank you" for their willing sacrifice in the face of evil forces.  Come visit and take pictures with the Vets prior to their departure to learn more about them and to honor their legacy.  This will give them a wonderful send off for their well-deserved cruise on the Choptank River in Cambridge, MD.

We will begin gathering at the city dock of Cambridge around 10am and departing on the P-520 between 11am and noon.  These are our oldest Veterans.  Please come to see them off to honor them for their historic service.

Also come to our Bull Roast in the evening (see below for information) for more pictures, longer visitations, and to hear incredible stories and testimonies about their lives over 70 years ago.

Come and show your support for our Veterans and the 85' WWII & Korean War US Army Air Force Patrol Boat (Crash Boat) P-520 at the VFW in Cambridge, MD Saturday November 15, 2025.

Among the Veterans, we will be honoring WWII Veteran Otis Branon the last WWII Crash Boat Veteran. He will discuss his service at the event.

We will also be honoring the late Cambridge resident, Lois K. Woodland "Spark". Spark served aboard the 85' Crash Boat P-564 with Lt. Walter Mess. Spark was part of the first OSS Special Operation Maritime Unit. These dangerous missions took place in the China, Burma, and India theater during WWII. Their mission on board the P-564 were considered the origins of the US Navy SEALs.

We will be having BBQ supplied by Cambridge local, Lil' Bitta Bull. Also an open cash bar supplied by the VFW.  Click the yellow button above to purchase your tickets. 

Come enjoy an evening visiting and taking pictures with the Veterans, listening to their stories and testimonies.  These are the brave people who fought so that others did not have to.  Please come and show your support for our Veterans Saturday from 6PM - 9PM. Proceeds will go to the Special Warfare & Rescue Vessel Foundation, Inc. a registered 501(c)(3).
